    United States

Please note: this is not an overnight camp and runs from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm daily.

This program will provide high school students and recent graduates an overview of topics in chemical, civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering.  This program will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to build basic electrical circuits, program the Arduino microcontroller, produce structural concrete, and design a water treatment system. Students will complete a series of educational projects using the Sparkfun Inventors Kit (SIK), learn Arduino programming, 3D printing, how to mix structural concrete, and how to design a water filtration system. By the end of the week, each student will build their own mobile robot, build an aerodynamic foam glider, learn to fly multirotor aircraft, make their own concrete samples, and build a water filtration system. Participants will also learn aircraft safety rules and other rules necessary to pass the Federal Aviation Administration “The Recreational UAS Safety Test” (TRUST) exam. This will allow them to legally operate unmanned aircraft for recreational purposes.  This program will provide a fantastic experience for any student interested in becoming an electrical engineer, computer engineer, computer scientist, structural engineer, or environmental engineer.
